Why is this book so expensive? Would this book go back into production?

Because it's a popular story with a computer game adaptation. There's a radio drama of the same story, as well. No reason to buy it unless you're a collector. The story can be found online pretty easily https://archive.org/details/i-have-no-mouth-and-i-must-scream_202202/mode/1up

Well I have the book, I was just selling things that I had laying around. I don't remember paying much for it. I was just shocked to see the pricing and if its so sought after why not just print more copies? I've decided to keep my copy, I guess it could be part of my emergency fund.
