That's the goal isn't it? To show that anything the government did is ineffective and that the employers are lazy and incompetent? Once they do that they will completely get rid of any functions that aren't, in their eyes 100% necessary and contract out the remainder at significant cost.

very doable to start on the mainland and end in Hawaii in a ground vehicle

have special boat trips that ferry the driver and vehicle both

why see Hawaii tags outside of Hawaii

I wasn't saying it was impossible, there's a suspiciously large numbers of cars on a series of islands with no car factories, but would you actually ferry there as a tourist? No, of course not.

said ferry themselves and their vehicles as tourist

thought it was impractical myself but hey
