There’s a bunch but here’s a few:
Terminator 2 Jumanji The Rock Armageddon Office Space Tommy Boy Happy Gilmore The Game Scream Jurassic Park
The Fifth Element
This movie has such good rewatchability. I think I put it on once a year just cuz it's so awesome.
Pulp Fiction
Drop Dead Fred
Not heard of this one, whats it about?
You should go find the How Did This Get Made podcast about it and then listen to that first!
Nah, that takes the fun out of it. Didn't listen to a podcast about it before watching it the first time in the 90s.
An adult with the greatest imaginary friend ever. Watch it and you'll be calling everyone snot head in no time!
The net with Sandra bullock. Not sure why I like it so much but I do! True lies and the bone collector spring to mind too.
The People Under the Stairs was an awesome, semi-smart 90s horror movie with a social message.
Clueless if I'm in a good mood, The Craft if I'm feeling spooky.
Can you be whelmed?
Ghost in the shell
Demolition Man and Judge Dredd are my two guilty pleasure movies
Terminator 2: Judgment Day
Edward scissor hands
Hackers
Not only a great movie, also a great soundtrack.
Hack the planet!
Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. Absolutely love Snatch too, but that probably doesn't count here since that was in 2000.
There's a movie called Sonatine by Takeshi "Beat" Kitano that is a fantastic 90s yakuza movie. Def recommend.
Technically the late 80's - but Top Gun for me.
Se7en, followed closely by 12 Monkeys. Really showed Brad Pitt’s range as an actor
Off the top of my head, I was going to say that Ghost World was mine, but apparently it wasn't even released is the 90's, nor is it my highest rated film of that decade, according to my criticker ratings. Those would be a tie between Fight Club and Happiness, although I like the latter a bit better, especially since it stars my favourite actor, PSH, doing what he does best, i.e., playing a sad, relatable degenerate. Thinking about it now, that's kinda what Fight Club is also about, right? I guess maybe "films with sad, relatable degenerates" is just one of my favourite genres. 🤷
