I've noticed an issue with Windows 11 where the screen is turned off (not in sleep or hibernate mode), and tapping the touchpad doesn’t wake it up — only the keyboard works to wake it up, even though the touchpad itself is functioning perfectly fine. On top of that, the screen wakes up really slowly, almost as if it’s coming out of sleep mode. In contrast, on Windows 10, the screen would turn on instantly as soon as I touched the touchpad. Anyone else experiencing this, or know how to fix it?

Not sure if it’s useful but it’s the same for normal mouse on my machine. Only keyboard wakes the system. I think changing the timeout for sleeping in power settings helps but not the root issue of the mouse not waking the machine.

Thank you. However adjusting the advanced power settings doesn't seem to fix the issue. I think Windows 11 is simply more power-hungry and takes a long time to even light up the screen
