I was hopeful but apprehensive prior to the initial trailer, as the original series and films are dear to me. Seems everyone involved knew the assignment.
We didn’t like it. I feel like they nailed the tone and completely had the right idea but it just wasn’t funny enough and good jokes were few and far between compared to the originals where they were coming thick and fast. Every funny joke was in the trailer.
I'll disagree with you (thought it was plenty funny/entertaining enough) but will agree it wasn't packed to the gills with jokes like I'd expect a Naked Gun movie to be
