Any recommendations for a trust worthy and reliable domain registrar?

Been a happy namecheap.com user for a few years now and no issues.

Their UI is a little clunky at times but for something I use every now and again it’s not an issue.

Cloudflare provides domains at-cost.

I've had great luck with AWS. Route 53 is smooth and it's one stop for everything if you want.

Personally, I use NameCheap and I've never had an issue. I've read good things about PorkBun.

I use Porkbun, but this is largely because I like the little cartoon pig, and I'm familiar with the UI.

Generally you should just check for the best deal for the particular domain, and then remove any particularly terrible providers from the results.

if you don't mind pay a bit more, then i highly recommend name.com they have been in the business since ages.

Migrated most of mine from Namecheap to https://domains.google/ . Nice DNS UI, consolidated billing, not much upsell to other products. Guess there is some risk to getting locked out of email and the domain in one shot.

Google sold their registrar to Squarespace like two weeks ago. OP is likely looking to move from Google Domains to a different registrar.

I did not know this. I will be keeping an eye here so I can migrate my domains when somebody has a usable alternative.
