Note this is probably the Dutch division which is the medical one. The rest of Philips was sold to China. Though I wouldn't discount the Chinese division from these moves either.

You are correct. Royal Philips is the Dutch medical company. They sold off the consumer stuff to a Chinese private investment firm a few years back, before that much of the non-healthcare stuff was produced under license and wasn't actually made by Philips either.

Don't think you can easily boycott Philips as a private consumer. They mostly deal with governments, corporations and insitutions now.
