Women only trans inclusive This is an inclusive community for all things women. Whether you're here for make up tips, feminism or just friendly chit chat, we've got you covered.

Rules…

  1. Women only… trans women are women, and transphobic or gender critical talk isn’t allowed. Anyone under the trans umbrella (e.g. non-binary, bigender, agender) is free to decide whether a women's community is a good fit for them.
  2. Don’t be a dick. No personal attacks, no aggression, play nice.
  3. Don’t hate on groups, hatefilled talk about groups is not allowed. Ever.
  4. No governmental politics, so no talk of Trump actions etc. We recommend Feminism@beehaw.org for that, but here is an escape from it.
  5. New accounts or users with few comments may have their posts removed to prevent spam and bad-faith participation.

Sort out my mental health. The last half of 2025 has seen me really struggling with depression, and being snippy and negative ... that's not who I want to be.

Finally get a live music set together so I can book shows locally, rather than bedroom produce tracks that maybe a few hundred people will hear

A bicycle tour. Either with a tent and sleeping mat or hostel.

Hostels are so much fun! I met people from all over the world in the hostels on the highway between Jasper and Banff.

I want to volunteer at an animal shelter. It would be a great reason and a doable step to get back into the world.

Drop weight.

Former big girl who got fit and maintained it for 10ish years, only to blow up again during the pandemic. I still have the weight on.

I've been practicing Intermittent fasting since about mid November, and I'm really kicking it in to gear now. I've been wanting to get back to a healthy weight for over five years, it's nice I seem to have gotten the discipline for it in my heart now, and I have a buddy also doing the same, so it's like an accountability thing. Very greatful for them. Fucking ready.

Also, I've been a sahm for 6 ish years now. I've started to look for work just two days ago. I am hoping for a job close by so I can start saving for a car, and maybe get back a career. Hoping. I feel terrified to go back to work after so long, but I know the fear will pass.

Improve my organization system and have most things in a specific place. What about you?

Actually Be a girl, I guess?

I'm trans, I've been on HRT for a few years now, started on a low dose, and have slowly been bumping it up.

Problem is, I know nothing about clothes makeup, etc. And the fact that I'm colorblind makes that stuff feel incredibly difficult.

A number of cis women in my life initially seemed really supportive when I initially came out, but in trying to reach out, and ask for guidance they've largely been really cold and unhelpful :/

In 2026, I want to finish at least 2 if not 3 of the book series I have been carrying around in various moves. I started The Book of Dust by Philip Pullman, volume one of La Belle Sauvage trilogy. I was waiting for the third book to come out before starting, so now I can read them! I have been a big fan of Pullman since I was 11 and read The Golden Compass when it was first published.

I would like to finish at least 2-3 more of the following:

  • Sekret Machines by Tom DeLonge and A.J. Hartley (3 books)
  • The Legendborn Cycle by Tracy Deon (3 books)
  • Uncharted Hearts by Constance Fay (3 books)
  • Dune by Frank Herbert (I have 6 books)
  • The Dandelion Dynasty by Ken Liu (4 books)
  • The Protectorate by Megan E. O’Keefe (3 books)
  • The Otherland series by Tad Williams (4 books)

I finished 2025 with a few standalone novels, mostly romance or scifi romance. I’ll still read a few of them in between the bigger heavier books. I’m ready to dig into a few new series this year!

I have two somewhat conflicting wants. To train for and ride a grand fondo (cycling event) in Drumheller in July, and to join a local dragon boat team for women who have had mastectomies. They conflict because July is peak dragon boat season.
