It's a bit snug, and I think the next iteration will get a pen pocket, but it was mostly an exercise in using the quilting stitches on my new machine. I made the bias binding. Thank you! You're supposed to turn it inside out so the edges are on the inside, but that made it too tight to be usable. Since the bias binding has enclosed the raw edges quite nicely I decided to just stitch down the sides instead, and that worked well.

I considered to suggest using colored thread for the patterns but can't come up with which colors so probably it would be too much.

But don't you dare turning it inside-out! That will be a downgrade (even apart from becoming unusable)
