I first heard of The Cramps through their cover of Primitive, originally by The Groupies. I liked that version, but never gave The Cramps a more thorough listen. Back in 2022 I stumbled upon their song Call of the Wighat and I fell in love with it instantly. So, of course, I had to get Smell of Female on Vinyl when I started collecting.

1997 I was eating breakfast in Chapel Hill NC, watching churchgoers coming from church, and Lux Interior walks by in heels. They did a show the previous night.
