But I was wrong, it is a breeze to use with smaller instances, lemmy.world seems that it is exploding.

Hey! Yeah, a lot of the issues at the moment involving timeouts and 50x errors are mainly due to the instances being overloaded (e.g. lemmy.ml and lemmy.world)

  • I'm having issues myself since I use lemmy.world and I've encountered those same issues 😅

It's harder for me to fix those issues as they are based on the instance themselves, but there are places where I could definitely improve the experience a bit more. For example, only showing a toast notification rather than a full screen message, allow for automatic retries, etc.

Agreed, I feel like it's gotten a little better at gracefully dealing with server lag.

Yeah thinking of going over to another instance. Anyone know how easy it is to migrate subscriptions from one instance to another?
