Fun fact: no one has even seen the pitch actually drop - they had a camera set up to catch the ninth drop in 2014 but it fell during a server outage. You can watch a live feed of the tenth drop!

That's the most interesting wikipedia entry I've read in a good long while.
I went out of my way to see this during one of their open days, it's as interesting in person as you'd expect.
