Welcome to c/theNetherlands! For sharing anything related to the Netherlands: news, sports, humour, culture and questions.

Titles of posts linking to articles have to include the article’s title without alterations.

If you’re posting a news story, it’s also a good idea to give your own opinion in a first comment. Thereby you give others something to respond to. Note that the story has to be directly related to the Netherlands.

For the rest, the rules of our instance of course apply here:

The title screams clickbait so hard I'm not going to watch it.

It sounds like an AI voiceover and mostly goes big business and their political lobbyists say they need more power or "we" are going to lose money. I assume they don't mean themselves in that "we". Later on it does suggests most tax in the NL is income tax, not a lot is property tax. Mostly it's a video which can be safely ignored.

Yea that's what creators go with on YouTube to feed the algorithm, the content is quite good though.

veratasium made a good video about this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2xHZPH5Sng

A welfare state with parttime is possible if people are willing to own less. Is that an option in the Netherlands?
