I have one of these in my attic. It was my mom’s. She was a big fan of the Addams family and called it her Morticia chair (pic for why)
It’s a pain to move because it’s so big, but really lightweight.

MODERATORS
I saw one in person yesterday whist antiquing. They are not comfy and make a lot of noise when you sit on them, and get dusty as hell.
You were right about the block chair.
But this one I haven't seen before.
We had one of those when I was a kid.
My mother had one that she used for her vanity.
