Very important point that's often omitted. The capital accumulated by the 1% provides exorbitant power to direct society in ways that serve the 1%. Directly via different markets and indirectly via (legally) buying political power.
How can you tax them when they are the ones indirectly creating protectionist laws? Also, they have a thousand unlawful ways to hide their wealth. I think the problem is capitalism. Also, saying shit like this is par for the course when you are attempting to grab your own slice of power. Regardless, I will still vote for the NDP because I believe they are the party for the people. Liberals/Conservatives best they can do is turn money knobs up and down, depending on which way the wind is blowing. Money ain't people.
