Why is city council thinking about approving this? I have no idea. Why is there teledriving? Because labor from the third world is dirt cheap compared to paying domestic Lyft or Uber drivers.

I have no idea how writing tickets for this is going to work. There are already teledriver “backups” for self-driving cars, but how involved they are probably depends on the company.

I’m sure this will mix well with Austin drivers and the lack of any traffic law enforcement in this town.
