Context: Dara shikoh was a very liberal-ish muslim and he was set to become the king of mughal empire as chosen by shah jahah, but aurangzeb took control of delhi and imprisoned shah jahan, while dara shikoh was trying to reclaim the empire he was betrayed by the guy on the right , malik jawan, who betrayed him and handed him over to aurangzeb, solidifying aurangzeb's control of mughal empire
