I think this just proves that mall ninja swords have always been a thing, and it is perfectly okay to appreciate a weapon as an art object.

Generally, an artifact should be 100+ years old, but this is a flexible requirement if you find something rare and suitably linked to an era of history, not a strict rule. Anything over 100 is fair game regardless of rarity.

I dunno, I don't feel like the hilt is THAT ornate! Seems like a perfectly usable kukri, though admittedly my combat expertise couldn't fill a thimble.
Beautiful but not practical since small details on handle look very brittle to use.
