Is the events of the Midnight pre-patch event in Twilight Highlands happening during the events of the Midnight cinematic? (slrpnk.net)

I noticed there's a large shadowy cloud north of the Twilight Highlands towards the direction of Quel'thelas. Is the Twilight Cults resurgence another enemy Salad'tath thrown at us to distract us while she focused on her real plans? Salad'tath did that during War Within with the Nurubians. So it seems to be her main MO, distract and delay. What do you think?
