Lucky me had only ~3800 packages yesterday π
openSUSE
openSUSE is an open, free and secure operating system for PC, laptops, servers and ARM devices. Managing your emails, browsing the web, watching online streams, playing games, serving websites or doing office work never felt this empowering. And best part? It's not only backed by one of the leaders in open source industry, but also driven by lively community.
Honest question: I've never been able to install opensuse tumbleweed. either I can't get it working with ventoy or the iso from the official site is corrupted or the download for the iso is so slow it just doesn't complete like ever. Is there a torrent for it or a better method to install it? since it seems like ventoy is a no go.
I just write the iso straight on a usb stick and boot it. I've read before that ventoy and openSUSE dont mix well.
Long story short, donβt use Ventoy. If you like to jump in a rabbit hole, search forums.opensuse.org.
I had problems with ventoy and opensuse several times when trying to install it the first time as well. What ended up working for me was to make the livedisc on a different computer. I have one computer out of 4 , a Debian server, that copying the opensuse iso to ventoy worked for. Other ISOs to ventoy work just fine on my main machine.
And here I thought my 2311 packages was a lot, sheesh. I haven't run dup yet, as such huge updates always make me a little nervous, even if it usually works just fine.
Also made me nervous, it took half an hour but worked just fine.
