I really loved the part where Spocks talks about how impossible it should be for him to beat a computer at Vulcan chess and it should at best be a draw. When we know how much effort it took to build Deep Blue to beat Kasparov.

In the end the perception of computer being infailible was used by a poisoned mind to try and frame Cpt. Kirk.

It's hard not to parralel this with big tech companies trying to convince everyone that their LLM based AIs are infailible when they can so easly be corrupted and mistaken.

I also want to mention a very recent movie called "Mercy" a trial of human vs machine. A poisoned man also tried to use the machine to frame a man he hated.

How do we participate? Just watch on our own time then use this post to talk about it? Sounds very fun. I'll look for this episode tomorrow.
