/c/TenForward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!

Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.

~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 3. Use spoiler tags. Use spoiler tags in comments, and NSFW checkbox for posts.
This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.

~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'

~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.

Fun will now commence.

Goes to show you can never have too much butter

[–] vzqq@lemmy.blahaj.zone 8 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Or faith of the heart, for that matter.

If you eat too much butter as you get older, you’d better have faith in your heart.

It took me a while to get my cookies right. It’s been a long road getting from there to here, but I finally got it down.

Yeah? Well I’ve got strength of the soul. No one’s going to bend nor break me.

I'm like cartman in that one episode of SP... every time someone even mentions faith of the heart I have to go listen to the entire stupid intro or it'll be stuck in my head for weeks.

I dunno, the top two cookies and the bottom right look perfect to me

Always been a toss up 'tween Faith-of-the-Hard and WalkerTexasRanger for all time memorable theme song.

Some believe Chuck Noris is "being ironic" singing his own, and adjust accordingly.

But was "the Bearded Shatner" being ironic when he stole all the Captain Kirk jokes?

that entire show is just fantastic. it's so much better than a disney kid's show has any right to be. have you ever read the censorship nonsense that (show creator) alex hirsch had to deal with? pretty funny stuff. https://nitter.net/_AlexHirsch/status/1537506333087322112

Holy crap I've never seen these before! Hilarious!

And I agree fully about the show. It's amazing how good it is, even so many years later. My son is now into it as well, and I love that.

I legitimately wanted this image when I was baking cookies. And now I know i had too much flour.

And Trek. XD

How does one add too much egg?

[–] Thebeardedsinglemalt@lemmy.world 6 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Thinking you're doubling the recipe? I've done that before

[–] BarrelAgedBoredom@lemmy.zip 2 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Fair enough, I was imagining too much egg per egg haha

[–] kieron115@startrek.website 3 points 5 days ago

that could still happen, maybe? i've never seen a recipe that specifically calls for like small eggs vs xtra large eggs, but the difference can be quite a bit.

[–] Australis13@fedia.io 3 points 5 days ago

Gotta have strength of the soul to keep persisting through all those failed cookies...
