I love weirdly colored plants though unfortunately they often don't love my dry apartment (no begonias for me). Coleus seems to be made of stronger stuff though and they were selling some cheap at the grocery store. The photo doesn't quite capture the vibrancy but it looks crazy cool!

(yeah the leaves had taken a few hits it seems but they usually grow pretty fast)

Good luck! Coleus have a nostalgic value for me as my 3rd grade teacher was giving cuttings of them to her students.

I bought some a few years ago, and they grew very well for a while. So much that I didn't know what to do with them. But unfortunately they pretty much all died at the same time.

Thanks! Yeah, I need to take cuttings and make those into new plants. They have a limited lifespan.
