For those that seek a future that brings together the best of the insights and objectives of people who, within the social democratic and democratic socialist traditions, have worked through farmer, labour, co-operative, feminist, human rights and environmental movements, and with First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples, to build a more just, equal, and sustainable Canada within a global community dedicated to the same goals.
Rather than focusing on elections, riding associations need to play key roles in riding-wide coalitions that include all kinds of people to work on issues together nonpartisanly.
Yea the biggest problem with NDP/Green candidates is that they seem to run purely to pad their resume; than vanish 3 minutes after the ballot box closes.
People sure love to trash the NDP, when the two other major parties are stiffing the middle class with austerity measures while giving away all our tax dollars to corporations in subsidies.
The NDP is probably the only party that could save us and give us back some kind of dignity in this last-stage capitalist society.
But keep voting for the Liberals for all their empty promises I guess.
The middle class will cease to exist soon save for a handful of doctors and high level business executives at this rate.
I will only vote NDP. My anxiety makes going to phone canvases hard. But I still did it at least once.
