Interesting I was reading they can't replace all their damaged radars anymore either because China is the only real supplier of Gallium and more than a bit annoyed with them.

All this tarrif and insulting everyone business is probably going to bite them back hard and for a long long time.

China is the only real supplier of Gallium

Like many other critical materials and rare Earth's (of which Gallium isn't one), the USA has sizable deposits of the materials. What we lack is the ability to refine it usually because the process to do so is so ecologically toxic.
