Similarly, Sleeping Bear Dunes along the shore of Lake Michigan is a famously steep climb down and back up with a famously steep fine if you can't make it back up and need to be rescued.

Thanks. That's not that steep but I guess it's different with no trail or switchbacks.

The fact that it's sand instead of solid ground also makes it take about twice as much effort.
