They didn’t boo because they hate AI (well, maybe a little bit). They booed because they’re tired of being sold to by the same people who profit from their disruption. Two graduation ceremonies, two tech-adjacent speakers, and two very loud rooms full of students who were done being polite about it.

This episode covers the UCF commencement speech that went viral when a real estate executive told a room full of arts and communications graduates that AI is “the next industrial revolution,” and the University of Arizona ceremony where former Google CEO Eric Schmidt got booed mid-sentence while acknowledging the crowd’s fear out loud.
