Comic Books

A place to discuss comic books of all types, from old to new, Big 2 to indie, and everything in between.

Floppies, graphic novels, compilations, omnibusses (omnibusi?) are all fair game.

There is only one rule:*

Comic Books is a no judgement zone.

You can talk all you want about how Rob Liefeld is trash, Bob Kane is an asshole, or Frank Miller and Dave Sim’s politics have made them toxic, that’s all good.

If, however, another user is LEGITIMATELY a fan of something you don’t like, that does NOT make them a lesser person. Attack the art for being bad, not the person for being a fan of bad art.

* I lied. There are TWO rules... No piracy. Cover shots? That's good. Interior pages, in moderation? Sure. Full books? Links to pirate sites? That's how we get things shut down. :(

I'm not saying it's been a problem, because it hasn't been.

MODERATORS

Let's see what's up this week!

Absolute Green Arrow #1 (Of 6) - Haven't been a fan of the Absolute series, but this looks interesting.

Bad Idea - Love a good indie imprint!
Hab #2 (Of 5)

BRZRKR Light Draws Breath #1 - Glad to see BRZRKR back! The novel Reaves tried to pull off just didn't work without the visuals.

Camelot 3000 TP (2026 Edition), $34.99 - This is a blast from the past and well worth reading if you never have. It was one of the original "Maxi-Series" running 12 issues from 1982 to 1985. One of the few books where Brian Bolland contributed interior art as well as covers.

Ghost Machine:
Hornsby And Halo #0
Hyde Street #12
Been a minute on both of these! Where were we again?

Rocketeer The Island #3 - Yeah, it's not Dave Stevens, but who is? Still a sucker for all things Rocketeer...

Swamp Thing 1989 #2 (Of 4) - Continuing the spiked end of Rick Vietch's run on Swamp Thing!

Ultimates #24 - End of the Ultimate universe?

Wonder Man #3 (Of 5)

Void No. Nine, Volume 1. Haven't heard of this one before, but the synopsis sounds interesting, and I haven't been reading much besides the usual Marvel and DC characters lately, so I'm looking for something different.

Swamp Thing 1989 #2

X-Men #30

Batman: The Dark Knight Returns #4. Literally everyone, ever, has been correct: these are quite good.

Batman #163. It's here. We made it. Nine months behind schedule, the conclusion to the H2SH arc comes out tomorrow. Was it worth it? Well...no. Do I even remotely remember the story so far? Also no. Was it a good idea to call it H2SH instead of Hush 2? Absolutely not. But we started this thing, so we're finishing this thing.
