I'll try to stay critical as long as possible. It feels less cohesive than some of their other works. I don't really get Acts of Magic, The Process, or I Saw Through Platonia (yet). Father And Son needs to be twice as long. I wish there was maybe one more track that evokes the same "Poppy Seed" feeling that Deep Time evolves into.

Otherwise I love it. It's beautiful, nostalgic, haunting, modern, dense. Whereas TH was a bit bleak for me, Inferno is chock full of the optimistic melancholy and playfulness I enjoyed from their older releases while still feeling experimental and fresh.

Looking forward to my feelings on this release evolving with me through the years (as it tends to with all of BoC's music). But for initial standouts, Blood In The Labyrinth and All Reason Departs seem to be sticking with me the most for now.

Hope all the other fans are enjoying it as well. And as sated as I am, here's hoping we won't have to wait quite as long for a follow-up this time. :D

I'm on my 3rd listen and I feel it keeps getting more interesting. It's weird because they have a lot of "vocals". More than usual. Weird satanic spiritual stuff.

Man. I tired getting into this band... I really really did because the mix and master, sound quality is intensely good.

But some of the dissonance is too much even for me and I love diminished sounds.

Did you try Music Has The Right to Children? It's their most solid album. Later efforts have been kinda meh in comparison. Haven't listened to Inferno yet though

Such a great release. I love the tonal transition after The Word Becomes Flesh when the album gets a bit less dark. The way it starts with heavy religious samples at the start of the album and transitions to a somewhat different tone through that track is just incredible work.

I'm really enjoying it. So many layers. The first half and second half change is interesting.

New band for me. I like it. Thanks for the link. I'll be listening to more of their stuff.

Every album is different but I love the first one. They perfect an eerie nostalgic sound. Music Has the Right to Children.
