I was under the impression with that piece the bannana was changed regularly. Its the installation and not the bannnana that makes the difference. I mean granted its just another example of how absurd modern art has become.

Oh, I know this scam! See, they steal the banana, then they sell 6 identical looking bananas on the black market for millions each. Since no one will admit to buying stolen art, the buyers never realize they've been scammed and the thieves get away with it.
I guess the thieves probably just eat the original.
