It's nice, but why not Xprivo? It is even more independent.

Xprivo is an AI chat and it doesn't seem to be updated on the latest things. I asked it when my country play in the world cup and it responded that it might or might not be qualified. So I can see use cases where it would be better to use Qwant than Xprivo.

I've been using Qwant for about a month now. It's pretty good! Search results are fine and the UI looks good.

The only thing I don't like is the dang cookies popup that appears every now and then. It's huge and annoying. Also, I kinda wish they had a paid tier.

I'm still daily driving Kagi, but on machines I don't use Kagi on, I've been making Qwant the default.

Just use Tampermonkey, ublock origin or I don't care abour cookies to zap the popup.

Qant is top notch. I use it on a daily basis.

I use Qwant on my PCs and Ecosia on my phone until I have decided which is best.

They share the same index AFAIK. They signed a collab contract. I stayed with Qwant for the UI.

I have seen that they are developing that, but I didn't know they are using it. When I search for the same thing in I get different results, so maybe they are using different weights even if the index is the same?

Idk, but both are great. It's just a matter of personal preference IMHO.

Do you people not understand France is a bad choice by jurisdiction? No one remembers the black boxes or French law or the generally lax security that makes spying easy for 5 eyes and China? Like, this doesn't stop spying, this stops some advertising.
