Money is really funny because we could all just collectively decide that Elon has no money at all.

And it becomes true. That's how money works. It's a shared hallucination and we can change it any time we want.

I would change that to "believing wealth protects the wealthy"

Ever looked at the names of the people who deliver ubereats, or drive the cars, etc? There's still a disparity. We're just better at making sure the lower classes aren't fucked over as badly.

Which makes your point, to be fair. But there's still an underclass. 1 in 7 people live below the poverty line in Australia.

Edit: Check this out. Just read this on the ABC website.

That's funny I read that as well and I got to this part:

Now in Australia illegally on an expired visa

She shouldn't be here

[–] teslekova@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 week ago

She is here though. And on her visa, she still did not have Medicare, apparently.

Also, there's a lot of people on expired visas working the jobs most don't want to do.

I don't like it either. If we let this expand, it will become economically integral to Australia like in America, and the misery will be entrenched and defended by the business lobby.

This is a lot more accurate.
