Looks to be more than a visual inspection, judging by the sheer number of images

I recall MSL's ChemCam getting a similar treatment with a pile of images a couple of times several years back. IIRC there were potential issues with the coatings in the camera body behind the clear lens. MSL also had a paint adhesion issue on the outer cover (that retains that clear lens). We really need to see a mission report (not likely), or wait until December 8, 2026, as that's when the mission manager's report for Sol 1900 is scheduled to be loaded into the PDS / AN, which is available to the public.

Remind me a few days after (December 8, 2026) and I can check out the report and see if if reveals the real reason (those reports are always very comprehensive). Just a pity we have to wait so long to see them
