Could be worse, it happened in the Cotswolds next to a pub rather than the motorway.

Ha! I don't drink but the other had a couple of beers and some lunch so yes.
Well if you don't laugh you got to cry, hope the gearbox repair doesn't take too long!
Exactly! Life's too short to get upset.
Must say I am impressed with BSA tbf, still under warranty and getting a new engine and gear box. Thought I would have to push for something but it was the first thing they offered.
How many miles did you have on this engine?

That's pretty damn good, most others would offer a repair (and hopefully upgrade) to the busted part only
