The Texas attorney general appears to have used an address where he did not live while voting in six elections in the past two years — despite his warning voters that “it is illegal to misrepresent your residence on election records.”

"We gotcha! We found proof that you illegally voted! Hypocrite! Hypocrite!" has been the song-and-dance since the fucking 1980s.

I've never heard of a single person whose opinion was swayed on these grounds, because you either

a) Don't give a shit about "illegal voting" as an issue

or

b) Know exactly what an "illegal voter" looks like, because you're a hyper-partisan hack who can hear the dog whistle
