relatable, from personal experience
I believe the Romans mostly didn't like how the Gauls were doing human sacrifice and funny enough wearing trousers... Of course not paying taxes was an issue too.
But it's much less of a "Christianity looking down on animism" kind of situation than this meme implies. Romans at this time were much closer to worshipping trees than not.
They just need to experience the hot trees once.
Are you implying I'm not still worshipping trees? How dare you.
