Would be nice to have some pinned discussion threads throughout the week in addition to the race ones as well.
There are some AutoMod type bots that exist already for setting up Daily Discussion type threads and whatnot.
Slightly backwards situation just now with most of the subs and content coming here but the formula1@lemmy.ml community being organised a bit better.
Someone should probably try getting in touch with @Photographer@Lemmy.world since he doesn't appear to be active that often and we have no other moderator here currently.

I sent a message to Ruud, made a post in the support community and also sent an email to the support email. Let's see if something happens
I also made a post last week about the (abandoned) mod issue in the support community but got no response. Then I saw that the mod here posted something again so I deleted the post. Itβs a shame because there is a lot of potential here but with just 1 mod it is just not going to work.
I had a quick look on reddit yesterday morning to see if I could find them in the haystack. They're a mod of 7 communities on here so I checked the mods of the corresponding subs on reddit. Thankfully I found someone after 30 seconds that might be them. Emphasis very much on might.
I sent them a pm. Will update if they respond.
Yeah, please keep us posted. They were active today so is not completely absent but this community is soon too large already to be governed by just one mod, not to mention we would need coverage for multiple time zones.
They've just messaged me. It's not them.
Presumably the mod has had enough messages and mentions over the past few days that they now know people want more active mods.

I think this is a backend feature and would understandably be a very low priority at the moment among memory leaks and performance optimizations but I really wish we could have flairs here on Lemmy.
