I don’t see this circus ending well for Reddit. It’s already caused an exodus of hundreds of thousands with the api changes killing the good apps and the continued aggression towards its remaining users and moderators is just going to make it worse.

Spez is actually killing his company in his pursuit of squeezing every dime out of the IPO

I’d be curious to see the numbers. Has it made an impact? Even the blackout had a pretty minor temporary drop in activity.

It has been nice to watch this place grow. Hopefully Reddit’s continued missteps continue to guide people here.

Reddit traffic (most social media) took a hit in June, but with Reddit seeing the biggest bleed.

I think I saw something like 3.5% down compared to others closer to 1.5% so, for whatever reason, Reddit is disproportionately suffering compared to its peers by a factor of roughly 2.

Spez is damaging reddit, but he's probably right in thinking it won't kill the company. It's too huge... I've got so many friends that don't care about what's happening.

I did ask for my data, and I've still yet to receive it, though... That's interesting. Be sure you ask for your data, everyone.

If they don't provide it, it's illegal. Not sure what happens as a result, but it takes 15 seconds to request, and Reddit clearly is struggling to answer the requests.

Reddit demands that more users move to lemmy or else

I thought things returned to normal over there. I’m happy to hear there is still some form of resistance.
