shes just reminding everyone what 5 more tory years will look like after Starmers terrible week
Why not just go whole way spray homeless people with a hose and leave them to freeze to death /s
This was actually a thing under Tory-run Westminster Council in the late 80s/early 90s.
Monstrous.
I wouldn't be surprised if she puts forward plans to relocate them to a hidden corner of the UK, barge ship, or something like that so long as it's out of sight. Then use it as an arguing statistic that they've reduced homeless by x%
How did the UK end up with such a bunch of evil fascists in control?
If you think about it, the reason this all happened is because the singular fear of Corbyn as PM handed Boris a stonking majority to implant his team of loonies.
For example imagine the alternative history whereby David Miliband became the leader of the opposition instead of Ed. We might not have got the 2015 Tory government that was so fond of referendums? Or if Andy King in da Naaaaarth Burnham succeeded Ed in 2015, we might have had a more coherent defence of remaining in the EU from Labour and more of a challenge after the (non binding) result.
Something to think about...
I doubt anyone chooses to sleep in a tent outside m&s if there were decent alternatives, not hostels where you risk you minimal possessions or even safety. Make the shelters better and better prospects. If the people are here illegally then use that avenue, if they are legal then we should help those less fortunate not leave them to freeze
Yes, risk theft starvation and murder because tents are neat.
Next on the list: hats.
UK Politics
General Discussion for politics in the UK.
Please don't post to both !uk_politics@feddit.uk and !unitedkingdom@feddit.uk .
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.
Posts should be related to UK-centric politics, and should be either a link to a reputable news source for news, or a text post on this community.
Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.
If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)
Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.
Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.
