I was running FreeBSD on a machine around 2009. I'm a Mac guy. What's blocking you?

I think you should be able to wipe and install by holding the Option key at startup with a BSD boot drive connected. Please let me know what isn't working. I'm happy to help.

Sorry, Dual Boot: it's early and I just woke up.

Hold Option and boot to the installer for MacOS. Pick Disk Utility from the Utility menu (or whatever is was in your MacOS version). Partition two volumes. Install MacOS on one. Install BSD on the other.

I'm assuming anyone installing BSD is literate in computers and can adapt these steps. Let me know if you need more help.
