consult--line with C--w
(alien.top)
See https://github.com/minad/consult/issues/378 where this has been discussed before. One can write a command copying the current word at point in the buffer into the minibuffer.
One approach would be to use the ace-isearch package or a custom keybinding and function (like the one shown here) to use isearch
first and its "C-w" binding to yank the words, and then switch over to consult-line
using the same query.
(consult-customize
consult-line
:prompt "Search: "
:add-history (seq-some #'thing-at-point '(region symbol))
:initial (thing-at-point 'symbol))
