If anyone has received their email I’m curious how you handled it. I’ve looked at colocating my NAS, but it’s incredibly expensive ($250/month for 2U and 1 gig).

I run my Plex server entirely on a Synology 920+ with 4x12Tb for a total of 36Gb usable storage. It's rock solid and perfectly serves my needs. I originally started with 4x6Tb, and that was nowhere near enough so upgraded in less than a year.

Local storage or pay much more for something like Dropbox.

Currently have about a dozen friends and family I’m sharing with and see concurrent stream counts upwards of 8 during peak. My seed/plex box for public currently hosts them, but it uses gdrive for the storage.

I have a 100tb array at home, but internet in my area is limited to 20mbit up, so I can’t host that many steams. I looked into colocating it, but holy crap prices have gone up over the years for 2u. Only 3 of the dozen places I asked for quotes would even consider less than a half rack.
