A song popped into my head recently, but for some reason Google didn't turn up anything. I don't really care much about the song, but it confuses me that I can't find it, so I wonder if I am getting some major word wrong. Some kind of Mandela Effect.
Age: unknown. The pop-style melody is a bit like disco anthem, but is less obnoxious than that. So I'd think mid '80s to late '90 rather than earlier.
Singer: female
Lyrics: Only (roughly) remember the line "It's Saturday night and you've got everything I need". I think it is either the beginning of the song or at least the beginning of the chorus.
Now, there is an endless possibility for variants. It could start off with "Saturday night", or "It's Saturday Night", or "It is Saturday Night", or "It's a Saturday Night".
The rest could also go "we've got everything we need", or "I('ve) got everything I need", or "you('ve) got everything you need", or "I('ve) got everything you need". And yes, I am aware that the meanings/connotations differ wildly here.
Instead of the "(have) got" construction, it could also be "am" / "are".
