This is an opinion piece, not a news report, which is why it is called ‘analysis’. I found the tone tongue in cheek rather than venomous, but I respect your interpretation.
The term "analysis" in the title generally implies an impartial examination and explanation by a knowledgeable person though.
Where exactly is the 'venom'? It's half quotes from the leaders themselves pointing out their vastly different style and approaches, and some to tongue and cheek suggestions of the challenges that might bring.
There were three ring masters - Winston Peters, Christopher Luxon and David Seymour - each with spectacularly different ideas about what they were there to do.
Are you seriously saying the article doesn't come across as needlessly snarky to you?
