It would be interesting to see more regional data because 1.6° seems low to me, considering how noticeably higher the temperatures are.

You'll have some areas that were 1-5+ degrees warmer than normal and some areas that were 1-5+ degrees cooler than normal.

But overall there would be more areas that were warmer.

Your regional area was probably one of the warmer ones.
