issue is that they're face to face

this only happens online when someone becomes nothing more than their opinion

NO! I will now inject some parroted, BS, political talking point from the party I most align with!

You've never told someone to go fuck themselves and that they're a fascist twat before?

[–] flicker@kbin.social 5 points 2 years ago

I gotta tell ya, the only fascists I've met (who share their opinion in front of me) are online. All the ones I meet in day-to-day life are smart enough to keep their opinions to themselves.

There are no good opinions, only ones that are funny or boring.

Yes and most opinions shouldn't matter anyway. The problems start when opinions start suggesting that opponents should be hurt or killed because they are hated.

Slavers aren't people and their lives don't matter.

Problem?

Opinions are like assholes: Everyone's got one and they all stink to someone.

And I wanna eat yours out?

I think the most profound truth in this meme is that is says “opinion”, not “fact”.

You missed the closing bracket for that. It should be <. opinion><./opinion>

(Dots are there to stop Lemmy from interpretating the tag)

What works for me wouldn't work for Joe in Minnesota, or Mark in New York, or Matt in Washington, or Jerry in Texas, or.....

That's why we have (what's left of) a representative democracy, so we can all find a common ground, allow us to live in a manner that works for everyone.
