Please let me know of any issues you may experience. Right now I just occasionally see some toast errors pop up.

Is the Facebook instance already blocked?

[-] seahorse@midwest.social 21 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago)

Not yet. Is it federating yet?

Edit: just found out they're federating so I blocked it

What made you change your mind? Don't misunderstand me, I'm glad it is blocked.

I was just gonna wait to block it, but then I realized why not just go for it ahead of time.

Something about the server is only allowing me to load 10 posts at a time and is giving me a "failed to load more posts" error when retrying on the Jerboa app. I'm on 0.52 downloaded through f-droid, Motorola Edge+ 2023 on android 13

[-] seahorse@midwest.social 1 points 6 months ago

Hmm, odd. I'm not seeing that, but I'm on the 0.52 on a Pixel 6 running android 14. Did it ever log you out after the server upgraded?

[-] GiuseppeAndTheYeti@midwest.social 1 points 6 months ago

Yeah, I was on 0.0.50 from the play store, saw that the f-droid version had a faster update schedule in this thread, so I downloaded f-droid store and it forces an uninstall. So I uninstalled, reinstalled to 0.0.52 and after logging in, saw that issue. I checked the anonymous user profile to see if that also had issues and if maybe it was the Jerboa client, but didn't have any problems.

Just noticed I'm having that issue too, although only when browsing "subscribed". "Local" and "all" still work as expected. (Also on jerboa 0.52 from f-droid)

Still having the issue after upgrading to 0.54, but it looks like the issue may be fixed next version according to the change log.

I also saw this and then it magically went away.

Is it just me or is there no Prev button on the web interface?

No going back now 😏

Some heads-up, mlmym UI needs to be updated if you're using that, same for Alexandrite (no update yet).

Also mobile app users will need to re-auth, and 0.19 needs Jerboa ~~0.53~~ 0.52, which isn't out yet on the Play Store.

I'm on jerboa .52, so far everything seems to be working after reauth... We'll see what happens. Hopeful about the new scaled sort feature.

[-] mp3@lemmy.ca 1 points 6 months ago

Interesting, thanks for the info

[-] stinerman@midwest.social 2 points 6 months ago

Yep. Needed a reauth on Jerboa 52. Still posting this though. I must be lucky.

I don’t know if it is related, but Memmy on iOS kept giving me an error that the username or password entered was incorrect even though everything seemed to work. I logged out and back in, and it seems to be happy now…

Just posting in case someone else gets the error.

Jerbra has been freaking out all day on me with "verifying" me after login.

[-] RinseDrizzle@midwest.social 1 points 6 months ago

Had to reset my password and login on compy browser just to leave this comment. :/ Something definitely a bit wonky on Jerby.

[-] alcyoneous@midwest.social 1 points 6 months ago

Mlem has been doing the same thing, was at least a dozen times yesterday, but it seems to have settled down now.

[-] archomrade@midwest.social 2 points 6 months ago

Not an issue, but I'm curious what the 'gold' comment highlights are doing since the upgrade? I'm seeing them occasionally in comment threads and can't figure out what they're supposed to be indicating.

I am on firefox with dark-mode enabled. Here's an example:

as far as I can tell it doesn't seem to be related to instance or original poster, and lemmy doesn't have 'awards' like when I used to see this on reddit... my best guess is that it's indicating 'recent' comments (inside of 10 minutes maybe)?

[-] seahorse@midwest.social 2 points 6 months ago

Pretty sure it means it's recent. How recent I don't know.
