Yeah it's a lemmy 0.19 feature. Not sure if thunder supports this version of lemmy yet though.

Thunder supports instance blocking, obviously so long as your instance is upgraded to 19.0

You say obviously, but some apps have supported it for longer simply by filtering out content from the blocked instance.

Yes, once your home instance is upgraded to 0.19 the block instance option appears under block community.

Hmm weird I don't see it and Sopuli is at 0.19. I am trying to do it by tapping the name of a community, then pressing the "i" button and there is block community, but no block instance.

Tip: you can also access blocked instances by opening your account settings!

To do this, go to your account page, tap on the gear icon at the top right, and you should see a section labeled "Blocked Instances"
