Wowza! Impressive!

I found some cables I was looking for so I could hook up a new docking station. I learned that there are two types of DisplayPort to HDMI adapters - active and passive - and I was lucky that I had all the parts I needed in my decades-old bin of cables!

I had a great math teacher that clearly loved the subject. Seeing someone talk with sincere passion can make the most mundane topics captivating. Also, they were a good story teller so you couldn't help but pay attention.

TIL I'm not the only person that sees slightly different hues with each eye (lemmy.world)
 

If I close one eye for a few minutes and then switch which eye is closed I see a very (very) subtle difference in hue.

Left eye sees a green tint; right eye sees a pink tint. It's more obvious when I'm looking at a white wall on a bright day.

I don't get this effect if I don't let one of my eyes adapt to the dark first.
