Can't blame her.

We ended up trapping 5 cats but three were repeat customers who are so desperate for sardines they will get into a trap more than once. This means we are almost done with this colony after almost a year. Up next is one of the local trash disposal places.

Dovey is starting to act more like a kitten and less like a scaredy cat. She isn't fully adoption ready but she is getting closer.

16 years ago, these two were born.

Two months ago, they had both gone.

To celebrate their lives, the joy and love they brought me, I want to share this collection of what they were like when they were together.

Wir haben bei meiner Schwester vorbeigeschaut. Miez wurde von dieser süßen Dame beäugt

Usually Miez sticks to the nearby gardens but sometimes she follows me over there and inspects my sister's garden. Last time she was followed by a neighbourhood orange brain cell, this time this cutie showed interest in her there.

Normalerweise bleibt Miez in den umliegenden Gärten. Ab und an begleitet sie mich, um den Garten meiner Schwester zu inspizieren. Letztens wurde sie daraufhin von einem orangenen Kater verfolgt, diesmal hat sie dort die Aufmerksamkeit dieser süßen Katze auf sich gezogen.

She was quite shy and kept her distance, trying and failing to blend into the environment.

Sie war ziemlich scheu und hat vergeblich versucht sich versteckt zu halten.

Regarding this, she could learn a thing or two from Miez.

Hier kann sie sich wirklich von Miez Mal ne Scheibe abschneiden.

This was the closest the two of them got. Miez however was way more interested in the pampa grass waving in the wind like bird feathers.

Näher kamen sich die beiden nicht. Miez war viel mehr am Pampagras-Wedel interessiert, der wohl wie Vogelfedern im Wind wehte.

And this is part of why Maine Coons are considered the most dog-like cat breed.

Unter anderem hieran sieht man warum man Maine Coon nachsagt, sie seien die hundeähnlichste Katzenrasse.

He meows. Makes hard eye contact but if I touch him , he gets mad and runs off.

What? What do you want!?!?! Why are you staring at me and meowing if you don't actually want me to do anything?!

He also seems to get mad and run off if I just look back at him and not try to pet him.

If I try to ignore him he just rolls around and sometimes does this little ridiculous "tantrum" deal where he will stand up and dramatically throw himself down and then roll onto his back. It's always loud cause he's a big cat. It can't feel very good. But he does it all the time.

Idk. Maybe he just likes being dramatic.
